Cleaning upholstery is usually performed in place so that cushion covers stay consistent with the rest of the furniture; however certain slipcovers and cushion covers can be dry cleaned.  There is a chance that problems can arise when having your slipcovers and cushion covers professionally cleaned – if fabric has not been properly preshurk, it may shrink during cleaning, agitation during cleaning can damage loosely woven fabrics.  Be sure to check your care labels before risking damage to your items.
