Have you ever run your fingers along the edge of your blinds or seen the dust build up on your window shade when the sunlight shines through? Then you know they can be a huge collector of dust, oils and other contaminants. Dirty blinds and shades can be an aggravating source of allergens and can make your entire home or office seem dirty. Fortunately, Wagner’s European Fabricare can help!

It doesn’t matter if you have mini or vertical blinds, roller or roman shades and regardless if they’re made of metal, fabric or wood, we can return your blinds or shades to a like new, sparkling clean condition. There are many types of blinds and shades and if you check your manufactures warranty it should give cleaning instructions. If you can’t find your cleaning instructions we suggest the following: Dust regularly with a duster, or proper attachment from a vacuum, depending on the type of blind or shade. To avoid graying of the blind’s strings professional cleaning is highly recommended.

Most fabrics can be wiped off with a mild detergent but if the shade is dusty you will be creating a muddy stain. If you are unsure try an inconspicuous spot OR come straight to the professionals! Hard window coverings (except for wood) are pretty straight forward to clean, but the fabric blinds and shades can be tricky. There are many things to watch out for and some shades can simply fall apart; as manufacturers look to less expensive fabric suppliers to cut costs and some of these are not detectable. Some of the glues used in manufacturing shades may not stand up well with cleaning and years of sun damage are will become more noticeable during the cleaning process. We use our extensive experience to handle your fabrics with the best care possible and try to prevent problems. Problems are not common but do happen.

Our blind cleaning is done at our plant and will normally require the blinds to be out of the house for two to three days, depending on the type of blind or shade and the work required. You can either drop them off at our shop or take advantage of our free pickup and delivery service. Our service includes the take down, cleaning and re-installation of your blinds or shades.
